Trans-Jordan Cities, Granger Energy, and Murray City partner together to bring Green Power to the Citizens of Murray City
The partnership between Trans-Jordan Cities, Granger Energy, and Murray City will provide a way to take landfill methane gas and transform it into useable green energy which will be utilized by the citizens of Murray City. A building that will house the power generation equipment is currently under construction with an anticipated roll out date of late 2008. Transforming landfill gas into energy takes a natural by-product of waste disposal and creates power which would have otherwise been wasted as a natural resource.

West Jordan Green-waste Pickup
Curbside Green-waste Pickup (for West Jordan Residents) will begin the first Monday in April (April 7th) and runs through the last Friday pickup in November.
Please ensure that only un-bagged green-waste is placed in the green-waste bin. Any bags or garbage placed in this bin can contaminate the entire truck load of green-waste and cause processing problems and may even ruin the entire load. The Salt Lake Valley Health Department has teamed up with Murray City and Sandy City to bring centrally located drop off facilities to residents for proper disposal of Antifreeze, Batteries, Oil, and Paint.

Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
